Kenneth Byrd has specialized in the field of business immigration law over the last 6 years, with 5 years previous experience as immigration paralegal with a major healthcare chain. Mr. Byrd has represented a wide variety of companies, including healthcare providers, IT companies, telecommunications companies, small businesses and individuals throughout the U.S. Presently, he has relocated his immigration practice to Los Angeles. Prior to the move, Mr. Byrd was in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 1995, Mr. Byrd has developed extensive experience in representing employers and individuals in immigration matters throughout the U.S., before the Department of Homeland Security (formerly the INS), the Department of State, the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), various U.S. consular offices throughout the world, the U.S. Department Of Labor and various state departments of labor. Mr. Byrd regularly counsels his clients on I-9 compliance issues, avoiding unfair immigration employment practices, family-based immigration issues, and removal and deportation issues. Mr. Byrd is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and Tenth Circuit. Mr. Byrd received his Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon.
