Fiancé(e) Visa Attorneys
Our experienced immigration attorneys can help your fiancé(e) obtain a K1 visa, also called a fiancé(e) visa, which will allow him or her to travel to the U.S. for marriage.
The first step to obtaining a fiancé(e) visa is for you, the U.S. citizen, to file form I-129F—Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) on behalf of your fiancé(e). After this petition is approved, your fiancé(e) must obtain the visa at a U.S. Consulate or Embassy abroad.
A fiancé(e) visa is a non-immigrant visa. It allows a foreign national to the U.S. for marriage, which must take place within 90 days of the date of entering the country.
The Steps to Citizenship
Establishing citizenship through marriage is not automatic. It is a multi-step process with forms to file and deadlines to meet. Our attorneys can help you navigate the process smoothly.
After you are married, we can help you apply for a change of status, from a non-resident to a conditional permanent resident. After two years of marriage, we can request that conditions be dropped, making you a legal permanent resident of the U.S. Should you one day decide to pursue citizenship, we can help you through the process of naturalization.
Our immigration attorneys are happy to help you and your fiancé(e) with the legal arrangements necessary for you begin your new life together. Please contact us today for a free consultation.
